support programs and fiscal measures and acts as a business bank
in order to promote the cultural and communications industries.
In its capacity as an agent of the Québec government, it
administers a budget of some CAN $200 million a year, which is
allocated to the production, dissemination and exporting of Québec
cultural products.

foremost private producer and broadcaster of French-language television
programs. The company, a subsidiary of Groupe Vidéotron
Ltée, has sales of over CAN $210 million and is a leader
in the Québec broadcasting sector. TVA International, a
division of the firm, develops, produces and distributes quality
television films, intended primarily for international markets.
